Donor Services Representative/Front Desk Receptionist

If you have the kind of “gold standard” customer service skills that make people feel valued, and you are compassionate, reliable, attentive and personable, we have a great opportunity for you.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and/or initiate telephone calls, written correspondence, or emails from/to donors and other individuals who have questions, complaints or request information
  • Perform front desk receptionist responsibilities, including answering incoming phone calls, utilizing paging system and greeting visitors
  • Make changes and/or corrections to donor records and follow up on shipping of orders
  • Correct and update donation information in Convio, our fundraising software program
  • Process donations and requests for memorial cards, Mass offerings and special occasion events (birthday, anniversary, baptism, illness, wedding, etc.)
  • Generate appropriate thank-you and memorial letters to individuals making donations
  • Process various donors’ requests
  • Maintain daily activity log
  • Multitasking responsibilities, including answering incoming calls, making outbound calls and processing outbound correspondence using mail merge
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Donor Services Supervisor/Manager/Director
Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • At least three years’ experience in customer service, preferably in a nonprofit environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to successfully complete projects and assignments in a timely fashion
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) and AS/400

Radio Marketing Manager

Do you have experience working in the radio broadcasting market as an on-air fundraiser? If so, Food For The Poor has a unique opportunity for you. This is a full-time position located in our Coconut Creek, Fla., office.

Overall Responsibilities:

The Radio Marketing Manager, Fundraiser, On-Air Host and Campaign Developer is a full-time position that is responsible for in-studio fundraisers, pre- and post-campaign telephone interviews, media trips, audio production and editing, budgeting/forecasting, and assisting in the department’s growth and development by seeking additional fundraising opportunities.

Director of Planned Giving

Overall Responsibilities:

Develop, promote, and expand the planned giving program and direct program activities in coordination with the organization’s fundraising efforts to achieve goals, prepare departmental budget, manage departmental operations and staff, and network with outside groups and individuals to promote Food For The Poor’s planned giving programs. This is a full-time, management position in the Planned Giving Department.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Broad, in-depth knowledge and understanding of planned giving products/programs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to establish rapport and build relationships with individuals
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent management skills
  • Ability to budget and make effective use of monetary resources
  • Computer literacy in planned giving programs and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability and willingness to travel to visit donors and/or prospects approximately 40% - 50% of the time
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
Experience:
  • Five plus years’ related experience in a fundraising or direct marketing organization

Outbound Caller – Church Assignment Coordinator

Are you organized, determined and enjoy talking on the phone? Are you passionate about building relationships and helping the poor? Food For The Poor is seeking a talented person with integrity who will serve as a direct link between the organization and churches. Overall Responsibilities:

Contact churches throughout the United States to obtain, schedule and coordinate weekend visits for clergy speakers to share the plight of the poor on behalf of Food For The Poor.

Qualifications:
  • Goal orientated with a high level of personal motivation, energy and accountability
  • Outgoing and dynamic communicator with excellent listening, speaking and writing skills

Graphic Design Production Assistant – Creative Department

Food For The Poor, Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, technically adept person to immediately fill our entry-level Graphic Design Production Assistant position. The primary responsibilities of this position include specific pre-production functions, such as creating mock-ups for print material, dry-mounting art prints to boards, reviewing design files, photo toning and creating detailed print specifications for projects. The Graphic Design Production Assistant will also assist the team members with other tasks and projects as requested.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Cut, create and lay out mock-ups for graphic design jobs
  • Create detailed specifications for print material
  • Perform prepress checks on design files
  • Tone photos for print
  • Scan and file artwork
  • Collect, distribute and archive final printed samples
  • Update Creative Wall Calendar
  • Check inventory on office supplies
  • Take care of other sundry administrative duties as needed
  • Perform Project Manager duties when Project Manager is not in office
Experience & Skills:
  • More than one year of relevant experience in a graphic design and print production environment required
  • Must be technically and mechanically inclined
  • Must be extremely attentive to detail with a strong commitment to quality assurance
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, graphic design/production environment
  • Prepress experience a plus
  • Photo-toning experience a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Mock-up or crafting experience a plus

As opportunities become available throughout the year, we hire English-speaking and bilingual (Spanish/English) Catholic and Episcopal priests and Lutheran pastors.

Your participation will open hearts to the gospel message and create public awareness of the Third World’s plight.Through your involvement, you will help Food For The Poor provide needy families with food, medicine, basic housing, education and more.
