Angels Of Hope Child Sponsorship Department — Administrative Assistant/ Data Management

Overall Responsibility:

To process all Angels Of Hope child sponsorship enrollment data. Manage pledge and sponsorship data and provide customer service to sponsor’s calls and emails.


  • Process all Angels Of Hope orphanage and child additions
  • Process new sponsorships and send welcome packages
  • Process changes in child sponsorship opportunity

Administrative Assistant — Housing

Overall Responsibilities:

Responsible for the timely processing and mailing of housing fulfillment packages, which includes:

  • Assembling and mailing out individual housing packages to donors
  • Communicating with field offices and Projects Department Field Managers
  • Assisting fundraising departments within the organization
  • Performing customer service duties for fundraising departments that require information for donors
  • Keeping detailed data on completed housing packages

Donor Services Representative

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and/or initiate telephone calls, written correspondence, or email to donors and other individuals who have questions, complaints, or request information
  • Perform front desk receptionist responsibilities, including answering incoming phone calls, utilizing paging system, and greeting visitors
  • Make changes and/or corrections to donor records and follow-up on shipping of orders
  • Correct and update donation information in Convio, our fundraising software program
  • Process donations and requests for memorial cards, Mass offerings, and special occasion events (birthday, anniversary, baptism, illness, wedding, etc.)
  • Generate appropriate thank you and memorial letters to individuals making donations
  • Process various donors’ requests
  • Maintain daily activity log
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Donor Services Supervisor/Manager/Director

Director of Speakers

Do you have experience with church ministry and management, mission outreach, and knowledge of various clergy? If so, there is an exciting opportunity available at Food For The Poor to enhance church relationships, build new ones, and serve those in the greatest need.

Overall Responsibilities: The Director of Speakers will lead the department to acquire contributions and donors through speaking engagements at churches of various denominations in the United States. The Director of Speakers will measure and hold speakers accountable to achieve fundraising goals at weekend assignments; efficiently and cost-effectively organize travel arrangements for the various speaking assignments; and analyze speaker results for each assignment.

The Director of Speakers will be responsible for putting in place plans to hire Catholic speakers to meet current and planned demand for Catholic assignments. The director is also responsible for acquiring speakers of other denominations to meet the demand of fulfilling all speaking engagements. The director will also oversee training for all speakers to reach desired fundraising performance levels.

The Director of Speakers will also oversee the relationship with Archdioceses, Dioceses and Ordinaries, and work with the Executive Director to create a yearly department budget and develop strategies to improve relationships with all denominations throughout the U.S.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree; degree in Ministry preferred
  • At least five years of management experience in a related field with a proven track record in obtaining results and developing staff

Church, School, and Community Development Project Coordinator

Assignment Coordinator – Speakers Bureau

Our Speakers Bureau is seeking an individual with excellent customer service skills who is comfortable making outbound telephone calls to clergy and churches throughout the United States.  

Overall Responsibilities:

Obtain, schedule, and coordinate weekend assignments for Speakers to share the plight of the poor on behalf of Food For The Poor.

Graphic Designer

Overall Responsibilities:

Responsible for conceptualization and design of direct mail campaigns as well as all other fundraising print materials such as brochures, catalogs, posters, invitations and advertisements. Materials created will support all departments within the organization and must utilize Food For The Poor’s look and identity. Other responsibilities include creating program materials, branding of special events and graphics for the Web, as well as preparing files for high volume print production.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Solid conceptualization, design and artistic ability

  • Detail and deadline-oriented with flexible and team player attitude and ability to work under pressure

Education: Degree in graphic design or related field with ongoing education to keep up to date on all relevant computer programs and trends.

Campaign Advisor – Donor Relations

Food For The Poor is looking for a compassionate, upbeat Campaign Advisor for our Donor Relations Department.  At ease with speaking over the telephone and praying with donors, the ideal candidate is a team player who is not easily discouraged and maintains a positive attitude in an energetic fundraising environment. The hours for this position are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm; Wednesday and Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Make follow-up calls to donors to discuss contents of campaign appeals, follow up on direct mail pieces, and request donations
  • Respond to questions, inquiries, and prayer requests sent in by donors and offer to pray with them
  • Track donor calls in the AS400/TelAthena computer program
  • Stay current on Food for the Poor’s programs and services to convey information to donors in a compelling, heartfelt manner


  • Minimum high school diploma
  • At least two years related experience in sales/marketing/customer service, preferably in a nonprofit environment
  • Fundraising experience
  • Ability and willingness to pray with donors
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and listening skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Ability to deal with positive and negative responses and speak with conviction about the plight of the poor
