Alex’s Story

Thanks to the compassionate support of people like you, Alex Gaitán has slowly been nursed back to health. “God has done miracles in this place,” said the woman in charge of Alex’s care at a nutritional center in Guatemala that you help support.

Alex has gained considerable weight on his once-emaciated frame, and he has even grown a healthy head of hair. The physical and emotion transformations that occur when a neglected child is finally offered nutrition, care and love are nothing short of miraculous.

“When this happens, we feel a strong happiness,” commented one of his caretakers. “We praise God.”

Initially, no one could envision a smile ever appearing on poor Alex’s face. But the support of individuals like you made it happen. Your generosity saves precious lives.
