David’s Story
David is just one example of the many miracles occurring at a Guatemalan nutritional center supported by Food For The Poor. After only eight months of care, David gained substantial weight and is even beginning to take his first steps. 
Reflecting on the miraculous transformations she sees in her work, the nun in charge of the center told us, “We just say thanks to the Lord for what has happened… it is not me. It is God.” The nutritional center that helped David is a revolving door of love. About four malnourished children arrive each week in urgent need of care. Their emaciated faces reveal their great suffering and hardship. But through God’s love and the support of Sister, her staff, and people like you, transformations and miracles continue to occur every day. Smiles return to the faces of innocent children. 
Many of the children who are cared for successfully recover and are able to go home. “I have a strong happiness and will to praise God because He has done miracles in this place,” Sister said. Little ones like David need help to have the chance of a healthy future.
