Jessica’s Story
Only two years ago, Jessica and her younger sister were literally “dropped off” at an orphanage Food For the Poor supports in Guyana. At 4 years of age, Jessica could not walk. But through your loving support, the orphanage’s staff was able to work diligently to stimulate Jessica’s limbs and nerves through proper diet and exercise. “They [the sisters] received lots of care,” said the home’s director. “They were very malnourished.”
Today, Jessica happily frolics with friends as she eagerly sets off to school each morning. “She attends the 1st grade and is receiving good marks,” said the orphanage’s director with a smile. The loving care that your gifts offer children like Jessica can literally transform lives.
