Jeuri’s Story

At the boys’ home, Jeuri Manuel, 7, is now able to attend school and likes making a contribution around the home. “I help clean the rooms, and I help other kids clean their rooms, too,” Jeuri said. “At school, I enjoy math a lot; I like to add.”

“When Jeuri first arrived, he was very shy and quiet and didn’t like to talk,” said Neritza Rivas, director of the boys’ home. “But now he’s caring and lovable, even when he’s playing he will stop to help out.”

It’s incredible the transformation that people like you can make in a child’s life. Children like Jeuri, who are full of potential, need the loving compassion you can give them. Because of your kindness, the staff who take care of children like Jeuri at our supported orphanages feel confident that the children’s dreams are attainable. “I see Jeuri well-prepared for his future,” Neritza said. “I know in my heart that whatever dreams he has, they will become a reality because we will support him no matter what.”
