Gifts in kind donations make a difference
Gifts in kind donations have the potential to change lives in a profound way, from providing lifesaving nutrition to supplying the educational materials needed to break the cycle of multi-generational poverty.
Here are just a few examples of what we can do through gifts in kind:
- Food For The Poor, Hormel Foods Unite to Help Malnourished Children
- Thousands of Hands to Pack One Million Meals for Haiti
- Outreach and Food For The Poor Celebrate Milestone Meals
While Food For The Poor ships thousands of containers of goods each year, it’s impossible to quantify how lives have been improved through the generosity of our donors. You simply cannot put a price tag on the smile of a child receiving a hot lunch, a glass of milk or a new pair of shoes; or a mother’s relief when she realizes that her sick child will receive aid.
The donations we receive help support various projects in the countries we serve. For example, we obtain building materials that are used to build basic houses for families without adequate shelter. Other gifts in kind gifts can then help turn a new house into a “home” by supplying furnishings such as beds, tables and chairs that make the space more liveable for the recipient family.
Gifts in kind donations are also supplied to orphanages supported by Food For The Poor. We are always in need of essential items such as clothes, bunk beds, cleaning supplies and toys to homes that care for precious children who have been orphaned or abandoned.
Every gift matters and has the potential to change lives. We invite you to consider partnering with Food For The Poor to bring much-needed relief to families in need.
