Save Me a Seat Most students in poverty-stricken countries like Haiti don’t have desks. Instead, they sit on old wooden benches in school and are so close to each other that they cannot concentrate on their work. Can you imagine sitting like that? ![]() These boys and girls are sitting on a flat wooden bench all day in school. They are trying to learn but have difficulties paying attention because of the cramped, tight conditions in the classroom. Without proper desks, students struggle to complete their schoolwork and become discouraged. They desperately want to learn today, tomorrow and all year long and would benefit from a chair and desk if they could have one. As you buy your school supplies this year, please think of making a donation to a needy student. For $10.00, you can provide a sturdy desk for a needy student. A gift of $20 will provide two desks. Please help “save a seat” for less-fortunate students.
