World Water Week
3.18.12 - 3.25.12
For the poorest of the poor in the Caribbean and Central America, access to clean water is virtually non-existent. Thousands of families in the countries we serve need safe, clean drinking water.
We get water so easily by turning on the faucet; we expect to be served water for free when we sit down at a restaurant. During Water Week, you can help someone else have access to safe water for themselves and their children.
For each glass of water served, participating restaurant staff will give patrons the option of donating $1 (or more) to Food For The Poor. Restaurant owners/ managers may get involved in Food For The Poor’s Water Week initiative by matching a percentage or the entire amount of their patrons’ donations.
All donations will go directly to water purification systems and water wells in the countries we serve (see a list of countries at the bottom of this page).
