There is currently a food crisis in many of the countries we serve. Food For The Poor has been feeding two million people a day, six days a week in our feeding programs, but more and more of the hungry poor come to us each day for what is usually their only meal of the day. If we are not able to get food, within a few days we will have to start turning away people who depend on us. It is never a case of feast or famine for the poor we serve; the scenarios are usually limited to barely surviving or death. Unfortunately, right now, the scenario of barely surviving is in question.

We need immediate help in order to buy and ship food before existing supplies run out! We have an immediate need of $500,000 to continue providing lifesaving food to the countries we serve. We are asking for everyone’s help in giving what they can to prevent more suffering and death. It is times such as this when we remember the importance of the widow’s mite, and how she shared with the poor out of her own need.
