Robin, I just saw a baby who broke my heart and had to email you. His name is Jefferson. He’s 40 days old, and he weighs just four pounds. He’s not even the weight of a healthy newborn.
He reminded me of a tiny bird, his little arms were folded up like wings. He’s so severely malnourished he struggles to take even small breaths. My first reaction was to weep over him, but you know me, Robin. I save the tears for later, because this baby needs our help right now. God watches over the tiniest sparrow, and I have faith He will heal this child. But He’s also prompting me to ask you for more food shipments because there are many children who are malnourished and suffering. Food For The Poor is a lifeline to starving babies. We depend so much on your organization for food, and I know others do as well. But is there any way you can ask your donors, who have been so compassionate before, to pitch in and help us even more? Please, do what you can. I trust that you will not forget the little ones who need our help. Yours in Christ, "And whoever receives one child
such as this in My name receives Me." (Matthew 18:5)
