It takes so little to do so much
for those who lost everything
This past September, two category-five hurricanes devastated parts of the Caribbean and Central America, killing dozens and leaving thousands of families homeless.
Our neighbors in these areas lack the infrastructure to help them rebuild. But you can help Food For The Poor ease the suffering of poor families who have been hit hardest by these natural disasters.
For some, the emotional toll was as devastating as the physical loss. Imagine clinging to a fishing buoy for three days in the open ocean, knowing that eight members of your family drowned. You fear that you will join them. But the prayer on your lips is that you will not. This was the incomprehensible reality for Bolino Davis, who is featured in our newsletter. For those like Bolino who were emotionally devastated, the healing process will take months, or even years.
“God is our refuge and our strength,
an ever-present help in distress.” (Psalm 46:2)
These families lost loved ones, homes and what few possessions they owned. They now face the staggering challenge of rebuilding their lives with very few resources.
Your ongoing assistance is crucial to saving and uplifting those who have suffered greatly in these storms. Please help Food For The Poor reach out to poor families who are most vulnerable following these natural disasters.
