2007 Orlando Celebrating 25 Years of Hope
The eighth annual gala, Celebrating 25 Years of Hope, chaired by Dr. Lynne Nasrallah, a pilgrim for Christ and the poor, was held on November 3, 2007 at the Lake Buena Vista Palace in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The evening began with a delightful cocktail hour and silent auction. Guests then enjoyed an elegant gourmet dinner and had the opportunity to listen to Dr. Lynne share stories of pilgrimages to Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Haiti.
Event proceeds and participation in the live house rally during the gala benefited the poor in Thomazeau, Haiti. Thanks to the Orlando community 69 housing units were built in Emmanuel Village II as a result of the guests’ generosity for the destitute poor. For the poorest of the poor, a new home is more than just safe shelter…it renews hope and restores human dignity. “When you help a stranger in need to receive a new home, not only will you become part of someone else’s miracle but also you will become part of God’s love story.” Dr. Lynne Nasrallah
Sponsors for the evening included: Residential Building Supply; Rotary Club of Lake Buena Vista; SunTrust Bank and Winter Park Construction.
