Food For The Poor Brightens The Lord’s Place With Donations

Guyana

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (Dec. 10, 2009) – The South Florida-based nonprofit Food For The Poor donated 94 cases of Minute Maid orange juice and an artificial, decorated Christmas tree on Tuesday to The Lord’s Place in West Palm Beach.

Through the years, Food For The Poor and The Lord’s Place have changed many lives. Both organizations know the importance of food, housing and an education. The absence of just one of life’s basic needs can be detrimental.

“We pray this donation will help those who rely on The Lord’s Place to start the day a little brighter, knowing they are remembered,” said Angel Aloma, Food For The Poor’s Executive Director. “It is a privilege to give back to the Palm Beach community.”

In addition to Food For The Poor’s international mission, the organization also supports many South Florida organizations, including Blessings Food Pantry at Christ Church, Chris Evert Children’s Hospital, New Hope Charities, The Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County, The Lord’s Place, The Salvation Army shelter, Women in Distress, and United Overcome Church.
