Adopted as a baby from an orphanage in Guatemala, George Bagay knows he was one of the lucky ones.

"I might still be in an orphanage if I wasn't brought here and given a real home," said Bagay, 14, of Scott. "Some orphans aren't as blessed as I was."

Last year, for his Eagle Scout project, Bagay arranged to have clothing and hygiene supplies sent to a boy's orphanage in his native country.
