April 2010 Prayers
Heavenly Father, thank you for a new day filled with your love and care for me. Thank you for watching over me. How I thank you for your hedge of protection around me keeping dangers known and unknown from me. Precious Heavenly Father, you have guided me away from those things that might harm me. Realizing how you have kept me safe, I am striving to express kindnesses to my brothers and sisters in the workplace, in my neighborhood, in my church, those crossing my path, loved ones in my home and on my heart. Let me not forget the hungry, the sick, the homeless, the disabled, those in prison and any one living without basic needs. As You care for me, dear Lord, may I reach out to those around me with love and render comfort at every opportunity. In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
(1 Peter 4:8-9)
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this Spring season of renewal. As nature is renewed and refreshed, may we, your children also be renewed as we interaction one with another. May we be patient, kind, gentle, generous, peaceful, giving, loving to all we meet. May our words be sweet as we speak to each other. May our walk be guided by you. May our work include your teachings as we strive for success. May our faces reflect your joy as we move from one place to another. Just as the blood of Jesus cleansed us of our sins may our renewal of faith to you be reflected in our daily living. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen
to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern
what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.”
(Romans 12:1-2)
Lord Jesus, be with me now during this festive Resurrection season.During your whole life you went about trying to transform the hardness of people’s hearts by your love and concern for them, and by showing them how to go about loving others. There are times when I have become hard-hearted, unloving, selfish. Lord, give me a compassionate heart. Touch my life with your redeeming love.
Amen
Almighty most holy God, no matter what the circumstances in our lives, even if there is no food on the table and the doctors’ bills can’t be paid, even if it looks like there will be no roof over our heads, we are going to praise You. You are our Rock, You are our fortress, You are our shelter, and You will provide. In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen
(HABAKKUK: 3:17-18 {NIV})
