Prayer of the Week 03-29-10
Heavenly Father, We call this week holy, not because of anything we have done but because of your great glory, grace and mercy. Lord what your holiness demanded, the cross provided. Your scriptures tell us that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins and you willingly gave your Son Jesus, as my Passover Lamb for my sins. Thank you for loving me so much Jesus to shed your blood and die so that I may have life eternal with you.
This Easter, may many come to recognize the great sacrifice that you made for them. This I pray in Jesus’ name.
Amen “In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. 22In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness."
(Hebrews 9:21-22 {NIV}) Prayer of the Week 03-22-10
My Father, Provide me, O God, with a time of apartness, an exile of some sort, so that I can get away from my own schemes and forget my own strength long enough to become thoroughly conscious of your of your presence, the holy ground on which even now I stand.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen "I have surely seen the mistreatment of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to rescue them. Come now, I will send you to Egypt."
( Acts 7:34) Prayer of the Week 03-15-10
Lord God, in the wilderness where I used to see only emptiness, I am discovering your fullness; in the place where human achievements are nonexistent, I discover your work in me and know your blessing. All this through your everlasting love for me. Thank you for your promise that each time I break (mess-up), I can come to You and You will rebuild me. Thank you God for grace in the wilderness. All this I pray in Jesus’ precious name.
Amen “At the same time,” says the LORD, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.”
Thus says the LORD: “ The people who survived the sword Found grace in the wilderness-Israel, when I went to give him rest.” The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “ Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt (Jeremiah 31:1-4a) Prayer of the Week 03-08-10
Lord Jesus I would follow you, not to escape onerous tasks but because It's in following you that gives my life true meaning and value.
Amen "As they were going along the road. Someone said to him, I will follow (Luke 9:57) Prayer of the Week 03-01-10
Dear Heavenly Father, I come today giving to you my offering, to be pressed down and shaken out to one who has nothing. How blessed I am to have a warm blanket, safe shelter, a full table, refreshing cool clean water, along with warm sunshine and blue skies. Though I often forget these daily blessings, pondering instead of the things I do not have. This brings stress, tension and anxiety; I joyfully empty my offering into your nail scarred hands for it to be anointed to meet the needs of one who has nothing. I know, dear Lord, that you will multiply this gift and will increase its fruits to meet the needs of a waiting brother or sister. Thank you, in the precious name of your Son, my LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
