All of us face life’s challenges daily, and at times also have cause to celebrate moments of special blessing. We invite you to contact us during these times so that we can join with you in prayer.
Food For The Poor's ministry reflects God's unconditional love, which surrenders all, inspires trust and faith, and embraces all people, regardless of race, status or creed. We believe that Christ is alive, and that we can best serve Him by assisting those in greatest need. (Matthew 25:40)
Accordingly, we encourage regular prayer to guide and maintain the purity of our mission. Prayer is a fundamental part of our ministry.
At our headquarters in Coconut Creek, Florida, Food For The Poor staff members hold daily prayer services. We receive prayer requests through the mail, by telephone or through our Web site, and we regularly pray for the poor as well as for our donors and their needs.
Our prayer services renew our sense of mission and offer inspiration for the work that we do each day.

the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles,

Dear God our Father, You are the God of love who loves us freely. Strengthen us in our love for one another.
Jesus, You are the true bread from heaven. Grant us the grace to speak out for those who have no voice, and for all those who hunger and thirst for peace and justice.
Holy Spirit, you who dwell in us, empower us to go out into the world to work for change, bringing God’s love, compassion, and hope to all.
May we accomplish all this, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
