 Comfort the Sick

It's painful to imagine. A mother learns that her five-year-old boy has lost his hearing because the clinic was unable to detect his ear infection for lack of a $10 otoscope. A father watches his daughter weaken and die from diarrhea — an illness easily treated in the United States. These are the heart-breaking stories that pour like a torrent of tears out of "Third World" slums. To put an end to this needless suffering, Food For The Poor provides church-based clinics and hospitals with medicines and other resources to bring comfort to the poorest of the poor. As one of our Angels Of The Poor, you are literally an angel of mercy in these areas of desperate need.
