Goods In Kind
Government and corporate donations of goods can be a big benefit to the poor, especially when they are matched to the specific and most urgent needs of the people being assisted. The main objective of Food For The Poor's Goods-in-Kind Department is to procure donations of useful commodities and to match those items with incoming requests from churches and social programs in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Because FFP's outreach extends far beyond food-based relief work, the needs of many destitute people can be fulfilled through government and corporate gifts of commodities. Building materials, medical equipment, school supplies, beds and other utilitarian furniture items and paint are just a few of the resources being requested regularly by churches and social programs in need.
Every contribution of goods-in-kind is handled professionally by a trained staff skilled in shipping and distribution. Donors are provided with detailed follow-up reporting to serve their administrative process.
To arrange a tax-deductible donation of commodities or obtain additional information, contact FFP's Goods-in-Kind Department at gik@foodforthepoor.org.
