“You could feel the excitement and buzz on campus for Students for the Poor Week at Lynn University. Setting up the small model house on campus was a powerful and engaging way to demonstrate the reality of how people must live in the Third World. I think the students gained a greater appreciation of their blessings — growing up in the United States. It was a great way to raise awareness in the local community and inspire people to respond to the needs of the poor in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
