Outbound Caller – Church Assignment Coordinator

Are you organized, determined and enjoy talking on the phone? Are you passionate about building relationships and helping the poor? Overall Responsibilities:

Contact churches throughout the United States to obtain, schedule and coordinate weekend visits for clergy speakers to share the plight of the poor on behalf of Food For The Poor.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bilingual Administrative Assistant – Gifts In Kind

Our Gifts In Kind Department is seeking an experienced bilingual Administrative Assistant who is well organized, flexible and will enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting this diverse department. Our Gifts In Kind Department ensures that large quantities of food, medicine and other essential items are successfully procured from nonprofit organizations and corporate donors. The candidate should possess the ability to interact with staff at all levels, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be resourceful and efficient while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This is a full-time position.

Overall Responsibilities:

This position provides administrative support to the Gifts In Kind Department including, but not limited to, telephone work, composing correspondences and special assignments. This position reports to other department managers when the Director is out of office.

Would you like to use your photographic expertise to help the less fortunate in developing countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America? As a Staff Photographer, you'll travel throughout the Caribbean and Latin America to document stories of need and work within the Creative Department to create compelling fundraising/marketing materials through storytelling for the organization. The work of the Staff Photographer will play a key role in fundraising to further Food For The Poor's mission to provide emergency aid and long-term development projects for the impoverished. The Staff Photographer position is an in-office position with some travel.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Apply critical thinking to photo selection, story content and general fundraising ideas with the Creative team.
  • Coordinate story gathering trips with the organization's partners.
  • Participate in travel planning meetings and for coordinating story gathering trips.
  • Travel to countries served by Food For The Poor to photograph and document the plight of the poor.
  • Serve as in-house photographer documenting various events and public relation opportunities.
  • Responsible for all photographic editorial functions including editing, key wording, toning, scanning, preparing files, etc. for use in fundraising, public relations and other marketing functions.
  • Processes photographs and creates/maintains digital photo archive.
  • Provide in-house support to fulfill photographic requests from clients and Creative team.

Database Administrator – Information Systems Department

Food For The Poor, Inc. is seeking a Database Administrator to provide 24/7 support of the database management systems and be involved in providing support for the Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure which includes programming, installation, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting issues. This role will involve optimizing database performance, database upgrades and/or migrations. This is a full-time position.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Department’s Database Administrators in support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business systems
  • Set up new databases in Microsoft and perform database maintenance
  • Work with the Department’s Network Administrators during installation, configuration, software upgrade and updates to maintain environments
  • Work with the Department’s Database Administrators in development, setting up and managing automated backups
  • Set up and manage scheduled SQL Server Agent jobs
  • Complete performance tuning and database optimization
  • Set up centralized monitoring, executing scripts, patches, backup reports, status reports and performance monitoring
  • Ability to work during non-business hours including weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
  • Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
  • Provide backup for other IS personnel

Our Information Systems Department is seeking a Programmer/Analyst. If you have programming experience and enjoy writing or modifying programs, analyzing specifications into appropriate computer language, and performing testing solutions, this job is for you. This is a full-time position.

Director of Legacy and Gift Planning

Overall Responsibilities:

Develop, promote, and expand the legacy and gift planning program and direct program activities in coordination with the organization’s fundraising efforts to achieve goals, prepare departmental budget, manage departmental operations and staff, and network with outside groups and individuals to promote Food For The Poor’s legacy and gift planning programs. This is a full-time, management position in the Legacy and Gift Planning Department.

Clergy for our Speakers Bureau
