Food For The Poor is looking for Development Officers to develop fruitful donor relationships in Los Angeles, CA. The objective of the position is to develop a presence for FFTP by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors, with an emphasis on major gifts. The ideal candidate will be passionate about service to those living below the poverty line in developing countries in the Caribbean and Latin America. Will have 5+ years’ experience raising major gifts in the Los Angeles region, a dynamic personality, and a boundless desire to spend most of the time communicating opportunities to current and prospective donors to build out support in the respective region.

Prayer Coordinator

Reports directly to the Donor Relations Manager. Coordinates Food for the Poor’s prayer ministry by assigning web and prayer line petitions immediately to select prayer partners and by sorting paper prayer requests and channeling them to the appropriate team. The Coordinator should be able to identify any possible trends in the numbers to inform the allocation of resources of time and personnel to adequately respond to prayer requests. This is a full-time non-exempt position in the Donor Relations Department and is not remote.

Multimedia Graphic Designer Animator

Great opportunity for a Multimedia Graphic Designer Animator looking to gain real world experience in a fast-paced in-house creative agency for a good cause. The Multimedia Graphic Designer Animator will develop excellent print, digital and visual frames with 2D/3D or other techniques. Your work will give life to storylines and will support the brand and communications within the organization. The position is responsible for supporting the creative direction of campaigns and should have a understanding of typography, layout, print, video, animation and electronic communications. Responsible for conceptualization and design of multi-channel direct marketing campaigns and fundraising materials that support all the departments within Food For The Poor. The position requires not only creativity, but also a high level of problem solving, critical thinking, and ability work within specified direct mail and brand guidelines. Administrative Coordinator-Projects Department

Ensure the smooth execution of the project workflow by providing support to the Projects Department. This position includes managing project information, ensuring accuracy and quality of information, developing reports, maintaining schedules and taking meeting minutes. Candidate will work closely with the Project Managers of Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, the eastern Caribbean and any other countries as assigned by Director. The ideal candidate must be proactive, possess an ability to multi-task, adapt, analyze and make decisions in a fast-paced and challenging work environment with multiple concurrent deadlines and minimal supervision.

Clergy Needed for our Speakers Bureau

Food For The Poor is seeking ordained clergy -- Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran and other denominations -- to preach on behalf of the poor we serve in the Caribbean and Latin America. Preaching assignments are on weekends in parishes and congregations throughout the United States. Applicants must have a love for the poor and approval of their superiors. The position requires at least one weekend of travel each month, one mission trip each year, and attendance at an annual convocation. Speakers must participate in weekly online meetings with Food For The Poor team members, as well as other duties as needed and mutually agreed upon. The position begins as part time, but full-time employment may be available for those wishing to form deeper relationships with the parishes and congregations we serve.
