SQL Programmer – Information Systems Department

Our Information Systems Department is seeking a SQL Programmer. If you have programming experience and enjoy writing or modifying new programs, analyzing specifications and performing testing solutions, this position is for you. This is a full-time position and the hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Write new programs or modify existing programs, as necessary, adhering to known corporate programming standards
  • Analyze system specifications into appropriate computer language
  • Execute trial/testing runs to verify accuracy of programs and correct errors
  • Assist in analysis of specific organizational and procedural problems in the design or modification of computer programs to implement computer applications
  • Develop, test, refine, and deploy technical solutions
  • Provide support to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Church, School and Community Development Coordinator

Initiate, create and develop long-term relationships with groups to foster their commitment, develop partnership arrangements, increase donations and raise funds to help the poor.

Administrative Assistant - Direct Mail Department

Our Direct Mail Department is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant who is proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint. Candidate must be detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task while meeting deadlines. This is a full-time position. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Assist Strategic Analysts and the Director of Direct Mail with administrative and clerical duties as assigned in a fast-paced office environment
  • Compile reports for daily distribution
  • Participate in strategy meetings and prepare accurate meeting notes
  • Generate emails and reports when appropriate
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations
  • Respond to questions and requests for information as necessary
  • Maintain filing system of direct mail appeals and acquisitions

Donor Services Representative/Front Desk Receptionist

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and/or initiate telephone calls, written correspondence, or emails from/to donors and other individuals who have questions, complaints or request information
  • Perform front desk receptionist responsibilities, including answering incoming phone calls, utilizing paging system and greeting visitors
  • Make changes and/or corrections to donor records and follow up on shipping of orders
  • Correct and update donation information in Convio, our fundraising software program
  • Process donations and requests for memorial cards, Mass offerings and special occasion events (birthday, anniversary, baptism, illness, wedding, etc.)
  • Generate appropriate thank-you and memorial letters to individuals making donations
  • Process various donors’ requests
  • Maintain daily activity log
  • Multitasking responsibilities, including answering incoming calls, making outbound calls and processing outbound correspondence using mail merge
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Donor Services Supervisor/Manager/Director
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • At least three years’ experience in customer service, preferably in a nonprofit environment
  • Must be fully bilingual English/Spanish

Accounting Assistant – Accounting Department

Overall Responsibilities:

Support the Accounting Department and enhance the integrity of its operations by managing the completion of multiple simultaneous projects. These projects may include accounts payable data entry, and invoice processing that includes scanning, filing, batching and final check preparations. Additionally, this position will coordinate departmental interactions with donors to include correspondences regarding stock donations and return-check notifications.

  • Accounts payable invoice entry or upload into Microsoft Dynamics NAV software
  • Scanning of invoices into Accounts Payable scanning software
  • Handling of paid check information for archiving, including scanning and filing
  • Creation and transmission of donor acknowledgment letters
  • Maintain spreadsheets of data required by other Food For The Poor departments
  • Assist accounting staff with daily processing duties and other projects
Skill & Qualifications:

Director of Planned Giving

Overall Responsibilities:

Develop, promote, and expand the planned giving program and direct program activities in coordination with the organization’s fundraising efforts to achieve goals, prepare departmental budget, manage departmental operations and staff, and network with outside groups and individuals to promote Food For The Poor’s planned giving programs. This is a full-time, management position in the Planned Giving Department.
