At 4 years old, Joe Celine had only known abusive servitude, neglect and starvation.

Made to work as a maid for mere scraps of food for a family with no relation to her, Joe Celine was wasting away when local authorities found her. Forced to sleep and eat in a garage, the starving girl was covered in skin rashes, and her head was bald from the effects of severe malnutrition. Thankfully, she was soon moved into a Food For The Poor-supported orphanage in Haiti where she began to heal physically, mentally and spiritually.

Joe Celine, now 8 years old, is continuing to recover from her horrific past. Orphaned, abandoned or abused children like Joe Celine need your compassionate support to overcome traumatic pasts and to learn how God loves them and will never abandon them.

Now, you can help even more children like Joe Celine! Through a special $500,000 matching-gift challenge from a generous group of donors, gifts we receive by December 31 to support orphaned or abandoned children will double dollar for dollar.

This means your gift will help twice as many precious little ones like Joe Celine. Please give as generously as you can.
