Frail and hungry, Amada, 84, had nothing to eat the day our partners in Honduras arrived with food made possible by the generosity of Food For The Poor supporters. The delivery was like manna from heaven for the senior citizen, who lives alone and isolated in her small shack in the rural countryside.
Kindhearted donors like you ease the terrible pain of hunger for impoverished children and families. You are right beside our partners in spirit, handing out food to hungry people like Amada, holding their hand and praying with them. You are a reason for so many people in need to give thanks and praise to God, because their prayers have been answered. Countless people are struggling more than ever these days as the COVID-19 pandemic shut down entire industries in the countries we serve. The result has been hunger that has quickly reached starvation of epic proportions. Now, more than ever, we need to send food to the countries we serve.
World Food Day is October 16, a day when countries around the world address the issues of poverty and hunger. In recognition of this special day, please help hunger-stricken children and families through your gift for food. Your gift will help to both answer prayers and feed those who suffer the agonizing pain of hunger. And to help you celebrate World Food Day and its cultural significance, click on the download button to download your FREE recipe booklet for delicious dishes that are cultural staples in the countries we serve. It’s our gift to you in thanks for helping feed the frail and the hungry.
His love endures forever.”
