On August 14, cities nestled near the coast of Haiti about 80 miles west of Port-au-Prince were rocked by a violent 7.2-magnitude earthquake.
Two days later, a fleet of five 40-foot containers carrying essential aid from FFTP-Haiti’s warehouse dock in Port-au-Prince arrived safely in the southern peninsula of the country.
“Food For The Poor is making the impossible possible with courageous missions to the area hit hardest by this devastating earthquake,” FFTP President/CEO Ed Raine said.
These missions to deliver food, water, disaster relief and emergency aid accomplish so much through the support of generous donors and friends, but there is so much more to be done. Each day brings more urgent requests, and we need you now more than ever.
Your lifesaving gift today will make all the difference to survivors huddled in makeshift shelters, homeless and without much hope. Please give your emergency relief gift today.
