St. Vincent Volcano Emergency Relief
Food For The Poor is responding to an urgent need for water and other aid by airfreighting disaster relief kits to help families in reach of the erupting volcano La Soufrière.
Tens of thousands of children and families have been impacted by the explosion of La Soufrière volcano on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent and now they face an uncertain future of hunger and drought as heavy ash continues to rain down on the northern portion of the island, destroying crops and contaminating water reservoirs.
Many residents are worried about their future as ongoing volcanic activity threatens the food and water supply, as well as the respiratory health of the people of the tiny island nation and its neighbors.
Please support children and their families living in desperate need every month to provide much-needed emergency relief such as water, food, blankets, hygiene kits and other critical supplies.
Please, be as generous as you can, so we can continue to send emergency lifesaving supplies to those who need it most.
